BVBA Dimabel was founded in 1997 by Didier and Marleen Clarisse-Devrome following the purchase of a few unique, traditional recipes for making waffles. At first, only conventional and sugar-free waffles were produced for bakers, specialist shops and retail shops.


Due to the great and growing interest of consumers in “healthy” products, in 2000 production of biological waffle specialties was launched and the sugar-free and diet range was further extended. The huge growth caused the production unit to be moved from Reningelst to Ypres in late 2008/early 2009. Additionally, the range was further extended to include Fairtrade waffles and private label concepts for export and supermarkets.
Dimabel also invested in a finishing line, making them the only waffle bakery in Belgium capable of lining various types of waffles with real Belgian chocolate of sugar-free, bio and Fairtrade quality.


Today, BVBA Dimabel is the specialist and partner par excellence in the area of biological, sugar-free, diet and Fairtrade waffles in Belgium/Europe. In addition to the wide variety of waffles, the own brands and the many different types of packaging (retail, vending, catering ...), Dimabel also develops private label concepts, packaging and waffles customised to the needs of specific markets and channels.
